Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, in 1955, Keith was raised in the Lake Charles area. After graduating from LaGrange Senior High, Keith first attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles on an athletic scholarship before transferring, in 1979, to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he graduated with a B.S. from the E.J. Ourso College of Business in 1981. Following graduation, Keith went on to attend Louisiana State University's Paul M. Hebert School of Law in Baton Rouge, where he graduated in 1984.
After graduation from law school, Keith moved back to the Lake Charles area, where he began practicing law. Keith practiced general civil law with Douglas L. Hebert, Jr. before becoming a partner with the law firm of Raggio, Cappel, Chozen & Berniard. Keith went on to form the practice of Bufkin & Prudhomme before joining the firm of Woodley, Williams, Boudreau, Norman, Brown & Doyle, again as a partner. Keith is proud to now be associated with the firm started back in 1986 by his high school classmate Hunter Lundy.
Keith is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, as well as the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association. He has also been involved with the American Bar Association, the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Council, as well as the local chapter of the Southwest Louisiana Association of Defense Council, where he has held various offices. Keith is admitted to practice before all of the Courts in the State of Louisiana.
Since returning to Lake Charles, Keith has practiced principally in the areas of toxic tort litigation, railroad litigation, and medical malpractice. Keith is married to his high school sweetheart, the former Jan Lungaro, and they are the proud parents of three children: one son, Michael Todd; and twin girls, Emily Kay and Sarah Rose. When he is not practicing law, Keith is active in supporting the pursuits of his children. Keith and his family are members of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church; but because of Jan's affiliation with McNeese State University, the family is also active with McNeese's Catholic Student Center, Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church.
